Sometimes, you just need to press the reset button. In my case, that was last Sunday. I had quite a busy beginning of the year and I really needed a time off to recharge. I impulsively booked The Spell treatment at the Lush Spa in Edinburgh, and here's how it went !
So, it's with a clear sky and bright sun that I arrived at the Lush Spa on Sunday, already in a good mood with the weather. After a bit of a chat with an employee, my therapist arrives and get me downstairs for my treatment. Good to know, you have access to the bathroom which has toilets and a shower. She waited for me while I was in the bathroom and gave me details about the treatment while showing me the products that will be used.
She then left me to finish to prepare the treatment room with a task.
I was asked to write if something was troubling me on a piece of paper with ink and quill. And guys, I couldn't do it, because I don't know how to write with a quill ! I laughed, Danielle came back, I explained the situation and she gave me a pen. So no worries if you can't write with ink and quill, they got you covered !
Danielle then put the paper with my worry written on it in a kettle and just lit it on fire. This is to make your worry disappears, like when you write down when you want to release and burn it on a full moon ritual !
Time to go to the treatment room ! I pass the door, enter, and just, wow.
Now, if you follow me on Insta, you know I already saw the room when I visited the Spa a few weeks back. But it was just as magical as this day !
Let's go for the treatment !
First, Danielle explained that I can take my jean off if I want to get more comfortable, hop to the massage chair and to ring the bell once I'm ready and she left so I can have more privacy.
Ringing the bell was a bit weird for me, I felt like in Downton Abbey for a few seconds.
Danielle started by washing my feet with a Volcano ballistic which was super relaxing in itself.
I then lied down on a massage chair and the real bliss started.
I had a foot scrub with the Orange shower scrub which is a scrub smelling like oranges (wow) and it's really uplifting !
The foot mask was done with Volcano that contains kaolin and mint scent.
The foot lotion was Pink Peppermint. No surprised there, it contains peppermint !
Finally Danielle used T for Toe, a mattifying powder so I don't slip in my shoes.
Danielle didn't do them in a row, though. She started with the foot scrub and then started to gently put pressure on my legs, shoulders and finished by a scalp massage and temple massage with a product named Dream Time and hot stone.
She also put a hot stone on my stomach which was super nice !
The smell of all the products was divine, very relaxing. My favourite one was Dream Temple (that I bought, obviously) with second close Volcano foot mask. I also really liked Pink Peppermint !
I liked the others products, but this is my top 3.
The music went from nature background to folk songs, I really liked it ! I found the playlist of the treatment on YouTube (and I'm listening to it while writing this post), you'll find the link at the end of the post.
I started to meditate during the treatment, I focused on my breath and just relaxed, so much that I think I fell asleep at some point !
The treatment ended, I went back to the hall of the Spa where a nice cup of hot water with lemon and mint was waiting for me. It was really nice as I was kind of floating after such a good time !

Now, do I recommend this treatment ? Absolutely !
If you need to relax, press the reset button or just have a me-time, this treatment is the perfect pick me up ! The price of the treatment is 85£ and is worth every penny ! Danielle was absolutely wonderful, she really took the time to explain the treatment and I felt really comfortable with her !
I would like to try The Comforter in like 2 months, I'll keep you updated ! If you already tried it or another Lush Spa treatment please don't hesitate to tell me how it went !
