It's that time of the month where I'm gonna do the monthly unboxing post about my absolute favourite esoteric box, Witchbox ! And today, we're gonna unbox the April 2022 Witchbox ! Let's go !
The first impression when I got the box was "it's heavy" ! And according to the Witchbox insta story, I wasn't the only one to think this ! But as you'll see if you keep reading, there's a perfect explanation for it.
Every month you receive a cheat sheet with the theme, all the products in the box and explanations on how to use them. This month theme was Cosmic Witch ! Think planets, stars, moon phases.
The first item on the card is this Cosmic Witch pin badge
I'm not the biggest fan of pins in general, but hey, to each their own ! Besides, it's still cute.
Our crystal of the month is a grey banded agate, and I'm happy because I didn't have one until now ! You have an information card with the properties of your crystal:
I think it will be a nice crystal to work with, in my case !
Next we have a card with the moon phases:
It's pretty, but I would've liked to have more information, like how to incorporate the moon phases in our craft (full moon for gratitude and release, for example). At least have some key words around it.
On the cheat sheet, it's saying that knowing the moon phases will inform you of which spell you should perform and shouldn't perform. I know that a good part of the craft is research and I'm all for it, but I think some key words would have been nice.
Now to the Moon ritual herb blend !
You can sprinkle around your protection circle or your altar before casting a spell. I will definitely give it a try !
Our Book of Shadows page this month is about the astrological signs and their element !
It's a clear and concise page with the astrological signs, the dates and the elements, always useful !
Now to the cutest product on the box, the Cosmic Charm keyring !
Seriously, how CUTE is it ? I stayed in awe looking at it for a good 15 seconds when I opened the box ! I absolutely love it ! I'm not using a lot of keyring, I have my Celtic knot one but I'll gladly add this one !
Next we have an encouraging peace spell kit:
I love a good spell kit, this one is lovely and super effective !
Then, we have TEA !
Your girl might be kind of a coffee addict, I still really enjoy a cup of tea during the afternoon and the weekend !
It's really a kit, as in you have the herbs, the tea bags and a wooden spoon to create your own tea !
I really enjoyed it, it was super relaxing !
And now, the reason why this month's box was heavy: We have a BOOK !
I was super surprised to find a book in my box, plus it's a super interesting one and it has a value of 14.99£ !
"The Write Your Horoscope book by Jane Struthers will help you become a master of your own life and destiny". I quickly checked it, and there are LOT of information about your sun, moon and ascending signs that can help you understand yourself and you purpose ! There's also a whole part about creating your horoscope (duh) ! I think this book deserves a post on it's own, so stay tuned !
Each month we get an incense created by Witchbox, and this month it's a Nag Champa one !
I'm a huge fan of the Nag Shampa scent, so I'm super happy to have a refill for once I'll finish my actual box (which will be soon, I have like 3 sticks left).
We have a beautiful Art Card. I think Witchbox started to add art card since last month, and I really like it !
* Final words*
Overall I'm as usual super pleased with my box ! I just hope the pin isn't gonna be a recurring product as I'm not a fan again, but once again, it's all about the preferences !
Next month box is going to be my birthday month one, I can't wait to see what Witchbox has in store !
